Family Support Programs

During this very unusual school year, CBK will continue to offer special online programs to support our CBK family through a period of unique schooling, additional stressors, and social distancing. Please watch your email for program announcements as we work to provide you with opportunities to learn some strategies for adjusting to and coping with these circumstances and connecting with one another in meaningful ways.

An online minicourse for kids in grades 8-12 (Luminary Project-aged students) to check in at the end of the first quarter. Starting School During a Pandemic: Truths, Tips, and Tactics will take place on Monday, October 26th, and will offer a chance for kids to digest what “school” has looked like so far, as well as specific instruction on getting to semester safely and successfully. Registration is $30 and space is limited.

Presentations in Your Community

Please contact CBK at least two weeks in advance if you are interested in organizing a family night offered by our Executive Director or another CBK Staff Member. These can take place in schools, libraries, auditoriums – we’ve even done them at restaurant community rooms!

All that is required is an audience of at least 30 for local (within an hour of Denver) presentations, and 50 for travel-based talks, about an hour and a half of time, a screen or blank wall and a projector if you have one (we can supply this if needed), and in larger venues, a microphone.

We would love to talk more with our community, get you information, and answer any questions directly. Please call 303-428-2634 or email cbk@centerforbrightkids.org. You might also check out our Coordinator’s Guide to figure out how to get started in your community. We look forward to hearing from you.

CBK will not be traveling to offer presentations to groups or at conferences in 2020.
