Application Process
Information on our new young students' above-level testing through the Iowa Assessments will be available in late winter.
Please click on each step below to expand information. Every step needs to be followed to successfully be registered. Please be aware of all deadlines. Applications MUST be SUBMITTED by 11:59pm Mountain time on appropriate deadlines to process. If you are applying in the late window, you will automatically be charged the additional $40 late fee.
Click “Begin Application” button above – please note, this is NOT the same system as summer enrollments and you will need to create a new WATS account for this year, as we do not retain accounts to protect minors.
Upload your proof of eligibility. The system will NOT allow you to SUBMIT your application until this piece is added.
Do not begin your application until you have all the required pieces uploaded as approved files (PDF, JPG, GIF, PNG)
The following file types are NOT supported and will result in your
application being returned to you for corrections. There may be other
unsupported file types that are not on this list.
- Microsoft Office files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx)
- HTML or email files (html, msg, ics, eml)
- Zipped or packaged files (zip, pages, rtfd)
- Any file type which could contain executable code (js, vbs)
- Files without file extensions
Select the state and date for your test from the dropdown list. Then select your first choice and second choice locations. If your preferred test site is not in our database, follow the instructions to request that your site be added BEFORE you submit your application. We will be happy to add your preferred location anywhere in the United States. More information on available test sites is on our Test Companies page.
E-sign your application and hit SUBMIT. WE DO NOT HAVE YOUR APPLICATION until you hit the “SUBMIT” button!
Make the appropriate payment as indicated. Remember, you only pay the WATS fee once, no matter how many tests your student takes. WATS fees are nonrefundable for any reason.
Incomplete/unpaid applications will not be processed. CBK is not responsible for missed deadlines due to incomplete applications before 11:59pm Mountain time submission on that date. All changes or last minute test site issues must be processed through the testing company, NOT through WATS.
