Deadlines

Rolling enrollment is open based on family circumstances. There is a nonrefundable $100 application fee. Please contact us if you are experiencing a unique situation needing urgent attention. Vector does admit transfer students during mid-year, but no later than the beginning of Winter Break in December due to how tight the community becomes as we work intentionally to develop close bonds and conflict resolution throughout the fall term.

MicroSchool

Enrollment spaces are limited, as Vector is a small school community. Vector will not enroll more than 30 total students grades 6-12. We will waitlist students who apply after final spots have been filled. Our ideal season (academic year) size is a dozen students, as much of our work is focused on supporting 2e learners and individual learning needs that are often an alternative to prior traditional schooling environments or restorative support for our gifted and talented learners. Our microschool community is ideal for students who are transitioning from alternative to traditional environments or who are looking for a smaller, unique opportunity to be seen as fully integrated into a multi-aged, participation-driven community.

Tuition

Due to the personalized nature of our school model, 2023-2024 tuition is set at $24,000 for the 10-month academic year. Unlike most schools, this includes ALL fees with the exception of a lodging fee for the three one-week trips that is assessed with fall tuition payments. The trip fee in 2023-24 was $1300 total for the three residential weeks. Late tuition payments incur a 2% of the outstanding balance bimonthly additional fee. No tuition payments are refundable, as no adjustment of annual charges can be made due to absences, withdrawal, or dismissal. This is necessary, as the school has continuing facility and faculty expenses that do not change and are based on academic year initial enrollment. Payment plans can be established with evidence of need. Limited financial aid is available.

Admissions

We will communicate with you throughout this process and are here to answer any questions you may have as we partner to determine if Vector meets your educational goals and dreams. Admission is a four-step process (see below).

Most of the time, several steps can be compressed, particularly if the student joins the family on the tour and the shadow day is set up within the following two weeks. Shadow days cannot be offered during Clearance, Trip, or Performance weeks.

Admissions Four-Step Process

Following your open house or school tour visit, please schedule a shadow day for your student with our Admissions Counselor.

When you are ready, it is time to apply! The application requires a $100 nonrefundable application fee.

If your student meets basic entrance criteria, we will then ask for a student essay and interview (this often takes place during Shadow Day) and family interview to determine best fit.

Within approximately one week of completing the application process, we will share final admissions decisions about enrollment with you, at which time the first 3 months of tuition will be invoiced.
